Interview With Pastor George Ebenezer

When we start any kind of discussion related to the scriptures, that will create a chain of doubts and some questions will be there right in our mind, unresolved and solution less.
If they persist more time in our thoughts, they will become toxic to our core faith. Faith requires being rejuvenated and we always need to protect it from the sources which are trying to deprive the faith in us.
It is never an easy task to do. When we keep this into an action, that requires in-depth knowledge of the word of God. We can attain that knowledge by listening to the God's word through the anointed persons, we call them as pastors.
Whenever am at home, I will visit the Church Of South India (C.S.I), at Bellampalli, which is my ancestor's denomination. And I have developed a good faith through the sermons I receive here.
I never got that much core interest before, I just attend the Church and then it went like just a systematic structure.
A few years ago, the Presbyter of our Church, Pastor Ebenezer began to deliver the word of God with all the commitment and knowledge based preaching. That impressed me very much and this post is here today because I found his preaching really useful and they dragged the Church more and closer to God.
I hate preaching which will include materialistic, healing, miracles. We are going to Church to listen to the word of God and to know the Scriptures in detail. Not to get piles of wealth or for any other sake.
I have seen many pastors who just preach in this way. 'Pray to God and receive this', 'Pray to him and your debts will get vanished'. All such kind of preaching are not focusing on our souls, we are not feeding with the necessary food with which our soul get the energy and move closer to God, develop a relationship with him and walk with him. Instead, we are feeding with the unnecessary things and useless words.
Am not personally condemning any person either living or dead, this is my opinion and am just here to share with our readers.
God is always the supreme power, he will remain forever as God. Whether he fulfills our wishes or not, it doesn't matter. He is our God, and we need to praise him in all the situations. Of course, that's why we are born.
Well, this isn't going to end of we talk. The purpose why am here is, finally me along with Dr. Z. Sanjai Kumar, succeeded in visiting our pastor's house and interviewed him, cleared some theologically related doubts and discussed controversies too.

2. How do you regularly pursue holiness and communion with God?

By Spending time in the Presence of God through confessional prayer.
3.  What do you do in your free time? We are eager to know about your interests and hobbies Sir!
I used to read Bible related books I always like comparative study between OT (Old Testament) and NT (New Testament) because I am very anxious to know the fulfillment of law codes and prophecy in NT, I read the Bible in this view.
4. Tell us about your family. How does your wife feel about being a pastor’s wife? What are your children like?
Family, it’s an institution to share the love of God and glorify God to be the witness about God my family wants to be like this, my wife encourages me in the ministry she was very prayerful, children are very adjustable in our ministry with the circumstances.
5.  How does it feel like being a pastor? Is this your dream or just like that you became a pastor.
It's not my dream but commitment, when I was in my mother's womb a major surgery, took place to my mother at CSI Medak hospital when she got conscious she heard church bells then only she offered me to God as if my child is alive he will be your servant, from my childhood. I used to pray to God in every situation.

6.  You have an amazing way to preach the Gospel, those references you quote and the core knowledge which you show while preaching, are all fantastically fantastic. I always wonder how did you do it! Is it because you have studied hard while pursuing your Theological degree or is it because of your groundwork which you do before you preach.
We have to glorify God in every aspect, God guides, reminds my mind through such verses, I always think with evidence so that I cannot explain with examples, I think it’s a virtue of God.
7.  Your favorite Bible Verse(s).

"1. I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. 2. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." Romans 12: 1-2 (ESV).
8 This World in which we are living, currently full of sinful acts, we are witnessing everything which is mentioned in the scriptures, or if I may say, even worse is happening around us. God has promised that he will punish those who are disobeying the truth and doing all wrong things. We are still awaiting for his return. Meanwhile, we are watching the bad becoming famous in this world. Why God is allowing such kind of sin to spread in the world or is it happening without being noticed by the Heavenly Father. Your comments on this, please.
God has redeemedreconciled, regenerated, restored, and liberated from every bondage Gal 5:1 we consciously do not submit again to a yoke of slavery  we are in the world but not of the world Jn 15:19 what is in the world there are only three things In the world that which Israelites failed Num 11:4-34Ex 32:1-8, Ex 17:1-7 Jesus overcome these Lk 4;1-18 there is a model before us I Pet 2:21 we have to be overcome to these three things in our day to day life which God noticed every day I.e I Jn 2:16 desire of the flesh, desire of the eyes, and pride in possessions   if we fail to overcome these we lost an everything  Heb 6:4-6.

World's Showcase - Interviews

Above quoted Bible verses:
"For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery." Gal 5:1 (ESV)
"As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. "  John 15:19 (ESV)

Numbers 11: 4-34 (ESV)"Now the rabble that was among them had a strong craving. And the people of Israel also wept again and said, “Oh that we had meat to eat!We remember the fish we ate in Egypt that cost nothing, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic. But now our strength is dried up, and there is nothing at all but this manna to look at.”
Now the manna was like coriander seed, and its appearance like that of bdellium. The people went about and gathered it and ground it in handmills or beat it in mortars and boiled it in pots and made cakes of it. And the taste of it was like the taste of cakes baked with oil. When the dew fell upon the camp in the night, the manna fell with it.
10 Moses heard the people weeping throughout their clans, everyone at the door of his tent. And the anger of the Lord blazed hotly, and Moses was displeased. 11 Moses said to the Lord, “Why have you dealt ill with your servant? And why have I not found favor in your sight, that you lay the burden of all this people on me? 12 Did I conceive all this people? Did I give them birth, that you should say to me, ‘Carry them in your bosom, as a nurse carries a nursing child,’ to the land that you swore to give their fathers? 13 Where am I to get meat to give to all this people? For they weep before me and say, ‘Give us meat, that we may eat.’ 14 I am not able to carry all this people alone; the burden is too heavy for me. 15 If you will treat me like this, kill me at once, if I find favor in your sight, that I may not see my wretchedness.”

16 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Gather for me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you know to be the elders of the people and officers over them, and bring them to the tent of meeting, and let them take their stand there with you. 17 And I will come down and talk with you there. And I will take some of the Spirit that is on you and put it on them, and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, so that you may not bear it yourself alone. 18 And say to the people, ‘Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow, and you shall eat meat, for you have wept in the hearing of the Lord, saying, “Who will give us meat to eat? For it was better for us in Egypt.” Therefore the Lord will give you meat, and you shall eat. 19 You shall not eat just one day, or two days, or five days, or ten days, or twenty days, 20 but a whole month, until it comes out at your nostrils and becomes loathsome to you, because you have rejected the Lord who is among you and have wept before him, saying, “Why did we come out of Egypt?”’” 21 But Moses said, “The people among whom I am number six hundred thousand on foot, and you have said, ‘I will give them meat, that they may eat a whole month!’ 22 Shall flocks and herds be slaughtered for them, and be enough for them? Or shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, and be enough for them?” 23 And the Lord said to Moses, “Is the Lord's hand shortened? Now you shall see whether my word will come true for you or not.”
24 So Moses went out and told the people the words of the LordAnd he gathered seventy men of the elders of the people and placed them around the tent. 25 Then the Lord came down in the cloud and spoke to him, and took some of the Spirit that was on him and put it on the seventy elders. And as soon as the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied. But they did not continue doing it.
26 Now two men remained in the camp, one named Eldad, and the other named Medad, and the Spirit rested on them. They were among those registered, but they had not gone out to the tent, and so they prophesied in the camp. 27 And a young man ran and told Moses, “Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp.” 28 And Joshua the son of Nun, the assistant of Moses from his youth, said, “My lord Moses, stop them.”29 But Moses said to him, “Are you jealous for my sake? Would that all the Lord's people were prophets, that the Lord would put his Spirit on them!” 30 And Moses and the elders of Israel returned to the camp.

31 Then a wind from the Lord sprang up, and it brought quail from the sea and let them fall beside the camp, about a day's journey on this side and a day's journey on the other side, around the camp, and about two cubits[b] above the ground. 32 And the people rose all that day and all night and all the next day, and gathered the quail. Those who gathered least gathered ten homers. And they spread them out for themselves all around the camp. 33 While the meat was yet between their teeth, before it was consumed, the anger of the Lord was kindled against the people, and the Lord struck down the people with a very great plague.34 Therefore the name of that place was called Kibroth-hattaavah, because there they buried the people who had the craving. 35 From Kibroth-hattaavah the people journeyed to Hazeroth, and they remained at Hazeroth.

Exodus 32: 1-8 (ESV)When the people saw that Moses delayed to come down from the mountain, the people gathered themselves together to Aaron and said to him, “Up, make us gods who shall go before us. As for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.” So Aaron said to them, “Take off the rings of gold that are in the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters, and bring them to me.” So all the people took off the rings of gold that were in their ears and brought them to Aaron. And he received the gold from their hand and fashioned it with a graving tool and made a golden calf. And they said, “These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt!” When Aaron saw this, he built an altar before it. And Aaron made a proclamation and said, “Tomorrow shall be a feast to the Lord.” And they rose up early the next day and offered burnt offerings and brought peace offerings. And the people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play.
And the Lord said to Moses, “Go down, for your people, whom you brought up out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves. They have turned aside quickly out of the way that I commanded them. They have made for themselves a golden calf and have worshiped it and sacrificed to it and said, ‘These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt!’”

Exodus 17: 1-7(ESV) All the congregation of the people of Israel moved on from the wilderness of Sin by stages, according to the commandment of the Lord, and camped at Rephidim, but there was no water for the people to drink. Therefore the people quarreled with Moses and said, “Give us water to drink.” And Moses said to them, “Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you test the Lord?” But the people thirsted there for water, and the people grumbled against Moses and said, “Why did you bring us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?” So Moses cried to the Lord, “What shall I do with this people? They are almost ready to stone me.” And the Lord said to Moses, “Pass on before the people, taking with you some of the elders of Israel, and take in your hand the staff with which you struck the Nile, and go. Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock at Horeb, and you shall strike the rock, and water shall come out of it, and the people will drink.” And Moses did so, in the sight of the elders of Israel. And he called the name of the place Massah[a] and Meribah, because of the quarreling of the people of Israel, and because they tested the Lord by saying, “Is the Lord among us or not?”

Luke 4:1-18(ESV) And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness for forty days, being tempted by the devil. And he ate nothing during those days. And when they were ended, he was hungry. The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.” And Jesus answered him, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone.’” And the devil took him up and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time, and said to him, “To you I will give all this authority and their glory, for it has been delivered to me, and I give it to whom I will. If you, then, will worship me, it will all be yours.” And Jesus answered him, “It is written,
“‘You shall worship the Lord your God,     and him only shall you serve.’”
And he took him to Jerusalem and set him on the pinnacle of the temple and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down from here, 10 for it is written,
“‘He will command his angels concerning you,     to guard you,’
11 and
“‘On their hands they will bear you up,     lest you strike your foot against a stone.’”
12 And Jesus answered him, “It is said, ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.’” 13 And when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from him until an opportune time.
14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and a report about him went out through all the surrounding country. 15 And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all.
16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up. And as was his custom, he went to the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and he stood up to read. 17 And the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written,
18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,     because he has anointed me     to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives     and recovering of sight to the blind,     to set at liberty those who are oppressed, 19 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.”

1 Peter 2: 21(ESV) " Foto this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps. "

1 John 2:16(ESV) "For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. "

Hebrews 6: 4-6 (ESV) " For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt. " ]
